This is an area that has experienced ups and downs in the past ten years of the 20th century, spoiling its aspect, hence the need for a joint force to make up for years of negligence and abandonment.
Due to this situation, projects have been developed to restore the environmental characterization of “favorita” through a long process of changes, until when I can be considered a valuable element rather than a detractive scenery.
“Favorita” is a toponym that people from Scorrano use to refer to the territory around, probably referring to the fact that it could be an area dedicated to the beloved lady from the local feudalists. I am also called Curte Sciudeu, referring to my affiliation to an ancient Jewish family.
The planting of Mediterranean flora species in the southern area of the park, helps to increase the level of biodiversity that has been under difficulty in the last years due to heavy use of agricultural chemicals. Simultaneously, a temporary artificial lake preserves rainwater, in connection with a system of temporary lakes that in the territory of Scorrano, form at a distance offering refreshment and rest for various migratory bird species and bird life in general.
