Situated on the highest point of the town, the castle (Barons residence)was built by the Brancaccio in 1626. It lacks of a defence system, but has architectural characteristics of a huge barons palace, an elegant dwelling. Developed under the government of Prince Carlo Brancaccio, it has particular structural features such as an open gallery that connects the castle to the parish Church. The Ferrante marquis coat of arms was discovered on the doorway that leads out to the courtyard. The front facade has a bas-relief of coat of arms, shields, spears, rifles and canons. It currently belongs to the Pizzolante Leuzzi Family, and is used as Tourist Information Office.
