Since 1957 I have returned, many of prehistoric pottery shards and flint flakes. Abundant and significant also found fossils within the rock fractures, related to hot weather wildlife, cold and steppe birds (deer, roe deer, fallow deer, wild boar, jackal, hyena of the caves, and also elephans antiquus, canis speleus). The abundance of the number of finds, all of which is well preserved, because immune from interventions and human activities, has provided the elements for an environmental reconstruction of the landscape of the area in question in the Pleistocene. Many stone artifacts found during the investigations dating back to the Middle Paleolithic and Upper, Neolithic to the top and are now preserved at the Museum of Paleontology l’Alca, Maglie.
In 1996, in connection with the reorganization activities to the new production at the headquarters in Via Vittorio Emanuele, they were entrusted the study and cataloging of the Pleistocene fauna Marco Rustioni (director and curator of the Paleontological Museum of Montevarchi (Arezzo).
