I find myself in the center square of Maglie. Built by engineer Tommaso Piscopo which in 1874 gave the work to my old master, Senator Achille Tamborino. In ancient times, in fact, I was the garden of the residence of the family, separate from the one that today is the town park. In 1975 donated to the municipal administration, it became heritage of the community.
My characteristics: a monumental pavilion neoclassical arcade, an avenue that runs through the park and ends on a belvedere, where a “loggia” with octagonal dome and columns overlooking an artificial cave once completely frescoed. In rich green spaces, alternating beds of flowers shrubs and groves of oaks, including typical elements of nineteenth-century parks, bridges, artificial increases, pillars and statues like that of Senator Tamborino.
