Modest physical strength is required thanks to the flat plains, even though a certain amount of exercise is needed for longer routes. The places visited are amongst the most interesting of Salento on a hydro-geological profile, as there is a high presence of channels, abysses and sinkholes, dolines and absorbent pits. Even the farms are numerous, mostly on the road of the old Lecce street. The woodlands and olive yards act as home to the anthropology area delimited by dry built walls. The route winds from "Struttura Polivalente del Rione Immacolata"-Multipurpose facilty of Immacolata Quarter (head office of the IAT of Maglie), near the Indoor Market, until arriving at the theatre of the city council of Migiano (even this IAT head office). The route is 40km long and is covered in a medium time of 3hrs (time calculated without stops). The itinerary can be done in phases among the towns involved (Maglie – Scorrano – Botrugno – San Cassiano – Nociglia – Surano – Montesano – Miggiano), in order to make it viable for inexperienced cyclists.
